Palace Hotel Tokyo's popular Christmas cake will be available again this year. What kind of cake will decorate the last Christmas Eve of the Heisei era?

Sep 11, 2018

Palace Hotel Tokyo's Christmas cakes are hugely popular every year and sell out quickly. As the harsh summer heat finally subsides, the new 2018 cakes have already been unveiled.

Palace Hotel Tokyo's Christmas cakes are often memorable for their designs adorned with adorable motifs such as Santa Claus, snowmen, and gift boxes, but this year's cakes have a somewhat stylish feel. It's also interesting that they have a wide selection of fruity flavors. Here we introduce the full lineup, which is both visually appealing and delicious.

Recommended for girls' nights out! Gorgeous cakes with a sophisticated feel

The "Buche de Noel Rouge" (¥20,000/Limited to 50 pieces) is a modern take on the classic Christmas stump-shaped cake. From within the chocolate stump-shaped cake, a roll cake made of pistachio sponge, berry filling, and rich cream appears. Its deep pink hue is perfect for a ladies' get-together. The "Arbre de Noel" (¥16,000/Limited to 50 pieces), representing the Christmas tree, features an impressive pyramidal tree with a snowflake motif. Inside, a cheesecake made with rich fromage blanc and the refreshing tartness of yuzu and mango is hidden. The snowy field-inspired design is perfect for a white Christmas.
