Oct 28, 2025
In October 2025, the luxury hotel "JW Marriott Hotel Tokyo" opened in the heart of Takanawa Gateway City. It is one of Marriott International's top brands and is the second JW Marriott hotel in Japan, following the Nara Hotel. Designed by the internationally acclaimed design studio "Yabu Pushelberg," it was conceived as a "timeless sanctuary" that embodies balance and mindfulness.

Zen-inspired architectural beauty meets art
Visitors are greeted at the first-floor entrance by an art installation that offers a modern interpretation of a Zen garden. A mirrored object resembling Mount Fuji, combined with a tranquil composition of stones and sand, symbolize balance and permanence.

The reception floor on the 30th floor abstracts the view overlooking Tokyo Bay from Gotenyama, and the ceiling decoration with a Kamakura carving motif depicts the passage of time. The lobby lounge "JW Lounge" located in the center of the space has an open atrium structure surrounding a treehouse. Leaf-like glass art by a Czech glass manufacturer reflects the light, creating a sense of harmony between nature and architecture.

Guest Rooms - The "heights of Tokyo" enveloped in tranquility
All 200 guest rooms, located on the 23rd to 28th floors, feature a tranquil design with indigo and amber as the main colors. Enjoy sweeping views of the Rainbow Bridge, Tokyo Bay, and even Mount Fuji on clear days, creating a deep sense of peace in the heart of the city. All rooms feature amenities and refillable water bottles made from recycled bamboo, ensuring both environmental friendliness and comfort. Additionally, the Mindful Room, a first for Asia, incorporates light, sound, scent, and breathing into its design, allowing for an experience that calms and harmonizes the five senses.
