
Takehisa Yumeji will be holding "Yumeji Romance - Longing for Kobe and Journeys to Europe and America" at the Kobe Fashion Museum from April 15th to June 25th.
Takehisa, who was a painter, lyric poet, and artist representing the Taisho Romantic period, has a diverse range of talents. His sophisticated, exotic, and exotic style reflects his childhood experiences in Kobe. The exhibition will feature approximately 200 works, including beautiful women in maiko costumes, folding screen paintings, original Minatoya prints, and a special exhibit of "Drawings from his time in Europe and America."
In addition, a "Taisho Romance Lecture" will be held from 1:30 pm on April 29th, with Akira Nakami, permanent director of the International Ukiyo-e Society, as the lecturer.
