The "corridors" of Azabudai Hills become a musical stage. A new cultural event that blends into everyday urban life, "Corridor Music," has launched.

A new culture is being born in Azabudai Hills, located in the heart of Tokyo. "Corridor Music," which will be held for the first time on Friday, October 31st, on the first basement floor of Garden Plaza A, is an attempt to inject culture into everyday life. It is planned to be held regularly on the last Friday of the month, creating "spontaneous moments" where passersby encounter music.

The setting for this event is the corridors connecting the stores—in other words, the "corridors." Azabudai Hills has redefined this space as "a hub where people and places intersect and communication is born," and by adding elements of music, food, and art, it aims to breathe new life into urban life.

The theme of the first event is "The Intimate Distance Between the City and Sound." The lineup of performers includes a diverse lineup of artists, including Shuta Hasunuma, who freely moves between the realms of music and art; jazz pianist INO hidefumi; the band ImmigrationsB, which weaves poetic sound images; and HIRAKU YAMAMOTO, Kanye Naha, and AYANE SHINO, who will color the space through their performances and recitations.

The sounds each performer will create are not simply live performances, but exist as "part of the environment," enveloping passersby in their moments.

The venue was designed by architect Eri Tsugawa. She conceived this space as a "device for experiencing urban circulation," consciously designing it to capture the drifting moments between movement and stay.

Located in the "Art & Gallery Zone" on the basement floor, this "corridor" was originally a pedestrian route, but it also serves as an important flow route connecting cultural hubs like the "Backstage" art gallery and "MANGA ART HERITAGE." By incorporating music into this corner, the relationship between art, people, and the city is rewoven anew.

"Corridor Music" also places importance on the culinary experience. The restaurant "Butaiura" on the same floor will offer a limited-edition menu including a 100% Iwate Tankaku Beef burger, allowing you to experience the "richness of the city" through both your ears and your taste buds. Light snacks and drinks will also be available in the cafe space, creating a relaxed atmosphere for an evening where sound and food intertwine.

Events are not about gathering to listen to music, but rather "something you encounter in the course of your life." With Azabudai Hills' philosophy of "Green & Wellness" as a backdrop, this project aims to transform a "blank space in everyday life" like a passageway into a cultural crossroads.

A new wave of urban culture will spread from this small "corridor."
