"Shinji Kato World: Designer of the Dream World - Imaginary Inhabitants and Beloved Miscellaneous Goods" by Shinji Kato, one of Japan's leading contemporary designers, will be held at the Kobe Fashion Museum from August 20th to December 28th.

Shinji Kato is a leading contemporary Japanese designer who has created a variety of characters over his 40-year career and continues to bring unique designs to the world. His captivating designs are featured in stationery, bags, shoes, tableware, towels, stuffed animals, and more. His characters, drawn with his unique and gentle touch, include those inspired by fairy tales such as "Little Red Riding Hood," "Hansel and Gretel," "Snow White," and "Alice in Wonderland," as well as original characters such as "Cheri," "Monperche," and "Sorabear." He has also collaborated with Disney and Pokémon. The exhibition will feature approximately 200 original drawings, sketches, and miscellaneous goods by Shinji Kato, who says he "wants to continue expressing the world of dreams." The exhibition will propose a new lifestyle and fashion that adds dreams and richness to daily life. A talk and autograph session will be held on August 20th, and gallery talks by the museum's curators are scheduled for September 22nd, October 23rd, November 3rd, and December 23rd.
