Japan's first matcha-high-focused event, "Matcha High Festival 2019 IN Shibuya," will be held at Shibuya Cast Garden from October 3rd to 5th.

"Matcha High" is a type of tea cocktail, an alcoholic beverage made by mixing shochu (distilled spirit) with matcha. Shochu (distilled spirit) has become increasingly popular in recent years because it contains no sugar or purines, and is a popular base for tea cocktails and the increasingly popular lemon sour.
With a not-too-sweet flavor that never gets old, matcha high pairs perfectly with any dish. At this year's "Matcha High Festival 2019 IN Shibuya," renowned restaurants offering exquisite matcha highs will be setting up food trucks, where you can enjoy matcha highs and dishes that go perfectly with them. Additionally, Takara Shuzo, a special sponsor, has announced that Takara's "Exquisite Matcha High", which is scheduled to be released nationwide on September 10th, will be the "official drink" of the Matcha High Festival. The lineup will include three flavors: "Uji Matcha", "Strong Uji Matcha", and "Matcha Lemon".
Events will also be held that can be enjoyed by both matcha high fans and those who have never tried it before. Why not take this opportunity to experience the charm of matcha highballs?
