"Travel the world through breakfast" is the theme of cafe restaurant World Breakfast All Day. From April 3rd to June 2nd, two locations in Tokyo's Gaienmae and Harajuku districts will feature Korean breakfasts.

Starting with beauty, fashion, and music, Korea is once again experiencing a third Korean wave boom in Japan, spreading a variety of new cultures. Koreans respect the past while also loving the new. This same theme can be seen in their food culture.
Korean cuisine, known as "hansik," is said to embody the idea that food and medicine have the same origins. Korean cuisine is characterized by a balanced diet of low-fat, low-calorie rice, soup, and side dishes that bring out the natural flavors of the ingredients. While rice is the foundation of Korean cuisine, it's not limited to just rice; rice mixed with grains is also commonly eaten.

Bean sprout soup is a staple breakfast dish. Dried rockfish, like grilled salmon, a staple of Japanese breakfasts, is also often eaten as a main dish. There's a wide variety of side dishes available, including those made with dried foods and fermented, preserved foods like kimchi, so a diverse range of dishes are available on the breakfast table. Another defining feature of Korean cuisine is the concept of "five flavors and five colors," which suggests that a meal should incorporate five flavors and five colors. Although Korea is the closest country to Japan and a foreign country, there are many similarities between the two countries, making this an opportunity to take a fresh look at Japanese culture.
During the period featuring Korean breakfast, in addition to breakfast, many Korean-style drinks and desserts will also be available. There will also be Korean cooking classes and workshops to learn about Korean culture. Be sure to check out the website (http://www.world-breakfast-allday.com/) for more details.
