This year's theme is "Energie de Nostalgia - The Power to Move Forward." Nostasie is a French word meaning "nostalgia" or "longing for times gone by," and the cakes featured are designed and created based on the pastry chefs' "memories that give them strength," such as childhood memories, unforgettable sweet flavors, and words of support from their mentors and family.
Pâtisserie Lotantique "Abricot Pistache" (diameter 16x6cm, 5,616 yen including tax, limited to 80 pieces)
Cross-section of Christmas cake
In addition, this year's catalogue has been completely digitized, allowing us to introduce stories and details that could not be fully conveyed in a booklet. A special website (www.isetanguide.com/christmas_cake) will be launched from 10:30am on October 6th, where you can check out stories, handwritten messages, and cross-sections of the cake that is a hot topic every year.
Unvedette "Stollen" (1,620 yen including tax)
To liven up the countdown to Christmas, 22 types of "Stollen" will also be available. Each store uses a different variety of fruits and other ingredients, making it fun to choose. This year, there are a variety of unique wrappings, making it a great choice for an early Christmas gift.
Bella Becca
In addition, "Bella Becca," a traditional Christmas treat that's currently in the spotlight, will be making its debut. Bella Becca means "pear bread" in Alsace, and is a luxurious treat baked with pears, approximately 10 types of dried fruits, nuts, and kirsch. Aging allows the fruit to blend together and develop a mellow flavor.
