The power of creation is what brings moments of wonder and quiet hope into our everyday lives. For the 28th edition of FASHION HEADLINE’s creator series, “Our Fashion Story,” we turn our focus to Dior.

Dior’s 2026 Cruise Collection unfolds as a narrative in which Maria Grazia Chiuri reimagines the memories and myths of Rome. Inspired by Mimi Pecci-Blunt’s Bal de l’Imagination (“Ball of the Imagination”), the collection weaves together historical costume elements and contemporary sensibilities, creating silhouettes that blur the boundaries between reality and reverie. The interplay of different eras and contexts brings forth a body of work that harmonizes naturally with visual expression, offering ample space for a photographer’s interpretation.

In this edition, photographer Hidenobu Kasahara presents “DIOR x Contemporary,” a visual story that metaphorically explores the themes of Dior’s 2026 Cruise Collection—namely the dialogue between fashion, costume history, and the contemporary moment.
