 Each department store will be releasing a variety of limited-edition Christmas cakes, including ones inspired by cakes that have been important to Frédéric Cassel since the company's founding, a Christmas version of its specialty mille-feuille, and a chocolate cake that shows off the chocolatier's true talents.

This new type of biche de Noël combines moist chocolate roll cake dough with sweet and sour strawberry crémeux and gently sweet vanilla mousse. The humorous reindeer's red nose will add to the joyous Christmas mood. "Bîche de Noël Jules" (5,400 yen including tax), available only at the Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Main Store, was inspired by "Jivara", a milk chocolate cake that has been loved since the French main store first opened.
