Salon, the tea ceremony brand proposed by Nakagawa Masashichi Shoten, has opened its second store, its first in the Kanto region, on the fourth floor of the new building. Based on the concept of "the beauty of tea," the store is made up of three "areas": the "cafe" where you can find peace of mind through tea; the "training" area where you can hone your hospitality skills through tea; and the "mise" area where original tea utensils are sold. The cafe serves thick and thin teas made with Charon's original blend of matcha, as well as carefully selected Japanese teas from all over the country, along with seasonal sweets and desserts. The easy-to-cha table-style lessons are available in both courses and individual classes, and a trial lesson (3,000 yen) is also available for casual participation. If you like the taste and experience, you can easily purchase the tea utensils right away. The "Charon Shirt" (17,000 yen) is stylish enough to wear to lessons as it is, with a chest pocket for storing kaishi paper and a string for hanging a fukusa cloth.

The centerpiece of Nihonbashi Takashimaya S.C., Nihonbashi Galleria, connecting the main building and the annex, is lined with stylish street-level stores. On the first floor of the new building, the gourmet grocery brand Maison Bremond 1830, from Provence in the south of France, will open its flagship store for the first time in Japan. A wide variety of flavors, including olive oil, balsamic condiments, and truffles, are available in stylish packaging perfect for gifts. Maison Bremond 1830 was rebuilt by Olivier Baussan, the founder of L'Occitane, another Provençal cosmetics brand, after taking over the long-established luxury food store Maison Bremond, founded in 1830. The carefully selected gourmet groceries are perfect for a wide range of uses, from daily use to home parties.

On the first floor of the main building's Galleria, you'll find FAUCHON LE CAFE, a restaurant and cafe where you can enjoy the flavors and atmosphere of FAUCHON, a top Parisian gourmet brand founded in 1886.
