This Christmas, why not choose a parfait over cake?! Omotesando Hills' Christmas Parfait Grand Prix decides the best

Oct 18, 2016

As part of the Christmas promotion "OMOTESANDO HILLS CHRISTMAS 2016 with Panasonic Beauty" running from November 9th to December 25th at Omotesando Hills, the "Omotesando Hills Christmas Parfait Grand Prix" will be held for the first time.

During the event, eight restaurants within Omotesando Hills will each be serving their signature parfaits, each based on the theme of "Parfaits We Want You to Try at Christmas." Each restaurant will offer a variety of unique parfaits, including stylish parfaits for adult tastes and healthy parfaits made with plenty of superfoods.

Salvatore Cuomo on the third floor of the main building will be offering a stylish "Christmas Glass Parfait" (800 yen), layered with almond milk panna cotta and cranberry jelly, and adorned with gold-leaf beet chips, meringue sticks, and sparkling candy decorations. Kageyamaro on the third floor of the main building will be serving the "Ping Chi Ling China Parfait" (880 yen), a homemade mango pudding filled with generous chunks of mango and topped with vanilla ice cream and tapioca pearls. Only 10 parfaits will be available per day. It's served with almond tofu sprinkled with matcha powder, which can be poured over the mango pudding or enjoyed as is. Hugo & Victor on the first floor of the main building will be serving the "HUGO Christmas Parfait" (1,650 yen), a strawberry parfait perfect for adults, accented with clotted cream and aniseed-flavored berry comfort. Max Brenner Chocolate Bar will be serving the "Strawberry Max Parfait" (1,481 yen), a generous sandwich of white chocolate mousse, vanilla ice cream, and fresh cream, sandwiched between strawberries. Toraya Cafe on the first basement floor of the main building will be serving the "Christmas Parfait" (1,100 yen), a sweet bean paste and berry parfait based on milk kudzu jelly, exclusive to Omotesando Hills. Other items on offer include Golden Brown's sweet and salty "Salted Butter Caramel Parfait" (1,112 yen) sprinkled with Christmas Island rock salt on the third floor of the main building, and Tully's Coffee's "Noel Macaron Parfait Strawberry" (741 yen) featuring strawberry sauce with pulp and cheese mousse, which melts in your mouth like strawberry shortcake. Forbidden Fruits on the first floor of the West building will offer a healthy "Superfood Parfait" (1,343 yen) that uses cheese instead of cream, in addition to superfoods such as tiger nuts and quinoa puffs. Limited to five per day, the "Omotesando Hills Christmas Parfait Photogenic Award" will also be held at the same time. Participants will be asked to take a photo of the Christmas parfait they ordered at the store and post it on Instagram or Twitter with the hashtag. 20 people who post photos that look "beautiful" or "delicious" will be chosen by lottery to win a 5,000 yen gift certificate from Omotesando Hills.
