The "Sweets & Sandwich Buffet - Christmas Cakes, Chestnuts, and Pancakes" will be held at the Tea & Cocktail Satsuki Lounge on the first floor of Hotel New Otani Osaka from November 1st to December 4th. The buffet offers petite-sized cakes from the "Super Series," created by Grand Chef Shinsuke Nakajima with the goal of "creating the ultimate cake no one has ever tasted before." Among the three types, the standout is the "Super Shortcake," crafted with carefully selected ingredients. It features a wasanbon sponge and brown sugar sponge made with high-quality flour and Nagasaki Prefecture's famous castella eggs, a rich cream made with 48% Kyushu Omuta, and "Amaou" strawberries from Fukuoka Prefecture. This completes the three-item lineup, which also includes the "Super Melon Shortcake," made with premium muskmelon with a sugar content of over 14 degrees, and the "Super Fruit Cake," a cake blended with seven types of dried fruit. Also available will be the traditional French Christmas cake "Buche de Noël," shaped like a log or a stump, and "Opera," evoking the image of a Christmas scene for adults. Other sweet treats include the silky, fluffy and moist "Chocolate Chiffon Cake" and the light and chewy "Baumkuchen." New gourmet sandwiches include an open sandwich featuring three winter staples: crab, salmon, and tuna, topped with a cauliflower white mousse, and a gourmet meat sandwich featuring turkey. The classic hot sandwich, "Croque Monsieur," with ham and cheese, and a unique hot sandwich featuring Osaka's famous takoyaki, will also be available, along with "Fruit Roll Sandwiches" made with strawberries, bananas, mangoes, and other fruits.

The session is 90 minutes long and runs from 11:30am to 1pm, and the prices are 5,000 yen for adults on weekdays, 5,500 yen on weekends, 2,500 yen for elementary school students, and 1,000 yen for infants, all including tax and service charge.
