Hyatt Regency Tokyo will begin accepting pre-orders for a total of seven Christmas cakes, including four new additions, on October 20th. The new "Christmas Tree" (¥17,000), inspired by a fir tree, stands a whopping 40cm tall. The tree itself is made of three layers of chestnut-flavored ganache made with Italian company Domori's "Arriba au Lait," topped with chestnuts, cherries, and nuts, creating a delightful mix of aromas, flavors, and textures. The next new addition, the Snowman (¥4,000), is a charming Christmas cake featuring seven snowmen lined up. Their bodies, crafted from mascarpone mousse, realistically replicate the texture of snow. The heads are made of white chocolate, while the bodies are covered in almond biscuit, strawberry jelly, and pistachio cream. The cakes are adorned with scarves. The Noel Chocolat (3,900 yen), made from 100% chocolate, uses Arriba chocolate, which has a rich yet not heavy taste and fragrant aroma.
In addition, the Beurre de Noel (3,600 yen), modeled after the Christmas tree ornaments that appear in France, has been revamped. The three balls are made using the finest "Sul del Lago", "Arriba", and "Sambirano" chocolates, respectively.
Other treats include "Noir" (2,700 yen), a luxurious treat for adults made with Remy Martin V.S.O.P., featuring ganache and chocolate biscuit, dried fruit, and sable chocolate, creating an exquisite balance of bittersweetness and making it a recommended gift; "Christmas Shortcake" (2,400 yen), a Christmas version of the classic shortcake recommended for couples; and "Mont Blanc" (3,800 yen), a chestnut tart layered with marron chantilly, filled with meringue and chestnut confit.
Reservations are open from 10:00 to 21:00 from October 20th to December 19th, and collection is from 10:00 to 20:00 from December 20th to 25th.
