Jean-Paul Hevin will begin accepting pre-orders for his new Christmas Buche de Noël cakes, themed around the "French Touch," starting in October.
This season's theme, "French Touch," refers to French creations that combine quality, creativity, and unique characteristics. Hevin considered the seven essences of French style and derived them: "Joie de Vivre," "Creativity," "Mode," "Style," "Terroir," "Humor," and "Tradition." Hevin has created a lineup of four Buche de Noël cakes, each inspired by these seven elements.
The Buche "Cancan" (5,500 yen) is a sensual chocolate mousse made with Peruvian cacao, featuring a jelly-soaked cherry jelly surrounded by a chocolate and almond biscuit, and paired with a tonka streusel base. The cancan is a dance performed by women wearing long skirts and black stockings, and is a symbol of joy and celebration for the French. This busche is Evan's homage to the cheerful and humorous cancan.
The "Rêve" busche (5,500 yen) features orange and ginger cereal crispy topped with a chocolate mousse made with Brazilian cacao, topped with a chocolate and hazelnut biscuit and caramelized orange crème brûlée. This busche embodies creativity, an important element of the "French touch," in the dreamlike form of a child trying to reach for the moon in the sky.
The "Fashion" busche (5,500 yen) combines a chocolate noir crustian streusel with a chocolate noir mousse made with Venezuelan cacao, enhancing the chocolate noir biscuit. Evan, who has always incorporated fashionable chocolates, has created a bûche that will add elegance to any elegant dinner.
The Bûche Grand Still (5,400 yen) combines almond-flavored biscuit cacao with Ecuadorian cacao mousse chocolat noir, accented with crispy sesame seeds and nuts coated in sugar. This bûche is Evan's homage to the centuries-old history of French decorative style. Note that only the Grand Still is available as a frozen cake for delivery.
