Enjoy early summer mango sweets 200 meters above ground. Enjoy afternoon tea at Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Otemachi

May 30, 2021
Starting June 1, Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Otemachi (located in Otemachi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) will be serving a variety of colorful sweets made with luxurious domestic mangoes, which are in season in early summer, at THE LOUNGE on the 39th floor.

Mango Summer Afternoon Tea - Savor early summer with vibrant, vitamin-rich colors
Starting June 1 and for a limited two-month period, this afternoon tea will feature domestic mangoes and refreshing tropical fruits such as pineapple and lime.

The sweets were created by Executive Pastry Chef Yusuke Aoki, who has experience in Southeast Asia, where tropical fruits are abundant. The "Mango and Coconut Blancmange" is a chef's recommended dish, featuring four layers of different flavors and textures, allowing you to enjoy the rich, full-bodied taste of mango and the refreshing flavor of lime all at once. The "Coconut Mousse with Mango and Ginger Jelly" combines the mellow sweetness of coconut, which pairs perfectly with the mango, with the addition of ginger for a unique flavor. Enjoy the vibrant, vitamin-rich color of passion fruit and a variety of sweets, each carefully crafted to perfection, with all five senses. The hotel's banquet chef, Hirano, is in charge of the savory dishes, offering a delicate and refreshing summer flavor using carefully selected seasonal summer vegetables perfectly complementing the mango. The "Edo Miso Foie Gras and Nut Tart" features foie gras and miso, which perfectly complement the sweetness of the mango. We use "Edo miso," a type of miso widely used during the Edo period, to allow you to experience the culture of Tokyo's Otemachi, where ancient traditions and global culture intersect, through the taste buds. Be sure to try this unique blend of Japanese and Western flavors, packed with cultural messages in addition to delicious taste.

Tea is an essential part of afternoon tea, so be sure to try some Japanese tea carefully selected from all over Japan by our tea concierges, who are tea specialists. Also available is a mocktail that combines Japanese and tropical flavors, made with Awa Bancha, a post-fermented tea with an 800-year history, and kiwi and mango syrup, a dish that can only be enjoyed at Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Otemachi.
