Apparel Web, a company specializing in services for the apparel and fashion industry, announced on the 6th that it will raise up to 300 million yen through a third-party allotment of new shares underwritten by the Innovation Network Corporation of Japan. In addition, the company will also raise new shares through a third-party allotment to a fund managed by Global Brain.
The main purpose of the capital raise is to revitalize O2O for domestic businesses and further expand its overseas business. Apparel Web provides a wide range of IT solutions to a wide range of domestic apparel businesses, including branding, customer expansion, and store promotion, tailored to their needs. Going forward, the company plans to launch "Apparel Cloud," a business that will integrate these individual solutions and revitalize O2O.
The company will also further strengthen its support for domestic apparel businesses expanding overseas. Last year, its Singapore-based subsidiary, AWCG PTE. LTD., opened a select shop (JRunway) in the city. By exporting and selling products, the company has established a foothold for domestic apparel businesses to expand overseas. Going forward, the company plans to expand its activities throughout Southeast Asia and provide support beyond store openings.
While the domestic apparel market is shrinking due to a declining population, the apparel market in Southeast Asia, which is experiencing remarkable economic development, is growing dramatically. For domestic apparel businesses, optimal marketing to domestic customers through O2O and proactively approaching overseas customers are major challenges. With new business funds, Apparel Web will provide integrated O2O solutions that transcend the boundaries of domestic and overseas markets.
