■What is FAUCHON...
In 1886, the company was founded by its founder, Auguste Fauchon, a peddler of fruits and vegetables. Fauchon opened a specialty grocery store on Place de la Madeleine in France, selling spices, fresh fish, wine, ham, and more. Later, in 1960, he developed and successfully sold his own fruit-flavored teas, including his now-famous apple tea. His reputation grew worldwide, and VIPs from around the world, including Grace Kelly, visited the Madeleine flagship store. Since opening Japan's first boutique at Takashimaya in 1972, Fauchon has expanded to include boutiques, bakeries, delis, and cafes throughout Japan and around the world. He also entered the hotel industry, opening his first hotel, Fauchon L'Hotel Paris, in September 2018. In March 2021, he opened his second hotel worldwide, Fauchon Hotel Kyoto, in Kyoto. When Auguste Fauchon first placed his suitcase on Place de la Madeleine in Paris, his goal was to introduce Parisians to the high quality of the various specialties of Normandy, France. Since then, the FAUCHON brand's aspirations have continued to evolve, and today, FAUCHON strives tirelessly to deliver the finest products and techniques born in France to the world.
Guided by its creed of "innovation," "tradition," and "quality," FAUCHON has constantly pursued innovation for over 130 years, spreading the excellence of French gastronomy to the world.
