The FASHION HEADLINE editorial team introduces the latest breads in this week's Bread of the Week. For our 21st installment, we've picked ANDERSEN.

Andersen is known as the first store in Japan to sell Danish pastries, a bread that's now a familiar staple in Japan. Modeled on the rich lifestyle of Denmark, where Danish pastries first came to be, the store offers a wide variety of breads, as well as a selection of ingredients, delicatessens, and wines that complement the bread. They also offer flowers to decorate your dining table and cultural classes, proposing a total lifestyle with bread.
In Kitahiroshima Town, Hiroshima Prefecture, they also run a farm called Andersen Farm, which aims to cultivate crops without the use of pesticides, following the example of Denmark. They are also working to create delicious, environmentally friendly bread, such as by selling farmer's bread baked using a leaven made from apples grown on the farm.

This densely packed and satisfying bread offers a satisfying taste of nuts and fruit no matter where you bite, making you feel happy every time you take a bite. This limited-time item is only available until January 15th, so it's a great way to savor the happiness that fills your mouth while thinking about a wonderful new year.

If you visit the store, be sure to check out the Danish pastries, which were the reason the store opened. Among the many items, we recommend the "TAK Danish (4 pieces)," a set of mini-sized Danish pastries in white chocolate, chocolate, cherry, and apple. It's perfect for when you want to enjoy a little bit of each flavor, or as a small gift.

They're all delicious, but my favorite is the chocolate. The crispy Danish pastry is made up of 32 thin layers, and is filled with smooth chocolate custard cream and rich chocolate, allowing you to enjoy the rich flavors of two different types of chocolate. Though small, it's packed with delicious chocolate, so you'll be extremely satisfied!
"Fruit and Red Wine Bread" (1 loaf 1,512 yen, 1/2 loaf 756 yen)

On sale until the end of December, Farmer's Bread's "Fruit and Red Wine Bread" is a rye bread made with four kinds of fruit marinated in red wine, brandy, and spices. When you cut into it, the aroma of mulled wine wafts out, instantly putting you in the Christmas spirit.

With the spicy aroma of cinnamon and cloves, you can clearly feel the juicy sweetness of raisins and cranberries. It pairs well with salty ingredients like cheese. It also pairs well with alcoholic drinks like champagne, making it a great gift for a Christmas party with adults!

On the other hand, the "Sesame Bread" is coated with sesame seeds and has sesame kneaded into the dough, giving it a fragrant, deep flavor. It pairs well with Japanese cuisine, making it a great addition to your dinner table during the New Year holidays, when Japanese food is more prevalent.

Also from the Farmer's Bread series, we're introducing a classic delicacy. The Farmer's Bread series is characterized by its apple-based leavening, which gives it a richer bread flavor, a fragrant browning, and a moist texture. The more you chew it, the more you can taste the aroma and sweetness of the wheat, making it a gentle flavor that anyone can enjoy. On the other hand, the "Sesame Bread" is coated with sesame seeds and has sesame kneaded into the dough, giving it a fragrant, deep flavor.
