Bread from Fujisawa's popular bakery "Chicopan x Kugenuma" now available in Tokyo. Salon de the Papier Tigre's new menu

Feb 27, 2019
Salon de the Papier Tigre, a tea salon attached to the Parisian design product brand PAPIER TIGRE's flagship store, will begin selling products from Chicopan x Kugenuma, a popular bakery located in Kugenuma Kaigan in Fujisawa, Kanagawa Prefecture.

Chikopan x Kugenuma is a bakery located close to Kugenuma Kaigan Station, halfway between Katase-Enoshima Station and Fujisawa Station. Each loaf is carefully handcrafted by artisan Arai Chiyoko, and is beloved by locals and many other bread lovers alike.

The bakery's specialty is its homemade yeast, which is painstakingly made using only water and raisins. They don't use any fats, dairy products or eggs, and the basic ingredients are domestic wheat, Ogasawara natural salt, brown sugar and water. They are proud of their special bread, which not only tastes great when baked, but also changes in flavor even after a few days.

The bread menu at Salon de Papier Tigre changes weekly and includes campagne (1,200 yen), bread (640 yen), muffin (190 yen), walnut & bitter orange peel (230 yen), nut chocolate (330 yen), walnut & blueberry (230 yen), basil & Parmesan (220 yen), 1/8 focaccia (250 yen), maple & cream cheese (320 yen), and anpan (320 yen).

Sales will begin at the end of February. New stock is scheduled to arrive every Tuesday and will end when sold out.
