"Bread Festival 2019 Spring in Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse," Japan's largest bread festival, which attracted over 130,000 visitors last time, will be held at the Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse Event Square from March 1st to 3rd.



38 popular bakeries that have set up stalls at previous "Bread Festivals" have been confirmed to participate. Bakeries like Bakery Penny Lane, which sees huge lines every year, Marble Coco, the Izukogen fromage bread specialty store that always sells out, Café & Bakery Gruppe, which has twice won first place at the Japan Local Bread Festival, and HAPPyHAPPy, the secret base for melon bread, which made its debut last year and gained a reputation for being "extremely Instagrammable," are all popular at the festival. More first-time bakeries and special breads will be announced as they are confirmed.



Also, starting this year, electronic payments, primarily "iD," will be accepted at bakeries and other booths within the venue. In addition, users of the electronic money "iD" will also receive the benefit of free "priority entry" (this may not be valid at some stores).
