The cafe inside CASICA, a complex in Shinkiba, Tokyo, will be hosting its first-ever dinner event, "HERB AND BEER," starting on July 20th.


Opened in November 2017, CASICA is a complex space with the concept of "visualizing living time and space," where things created by a diverse range of eras, regions and people, such as furniture, products, art and design, artisans and workshops, food, health, video, and voices, are brought together in a uniquely styled space, creating a fresh feeling.

Casica's first dinner project, titled "HERB AND BEER," will feature an original international-style menu for a limited time, featuring spices and herbs that go well with beer and cocktails. The cocktail recipes were overseen by Hiroshi Eguchi of mitosaya, Japan's first botanical brandy distillery. He has created herbal and non-alcoholic cocktails with deep flavors, such as the "Triple Mint Mojito," which uses three types of mint in abundance, and the innovative "CASICA Red Eye" with chunks of tomato. In addition, you can enjoy all-you-can-drink craft beers from local breweries around the world and Japan, as well as organic wines (time limits apply).

Food & Drink: "HERB AND BEER" (5,800 yen) with 2-Hour All-You-Can-Drink Option

The dinner menu was overseen by Hiroko Mihara of Nanpu Shokudo, who also serves lunch. Summer is a season when high temperatures can weaken both your physical strength and digestive power. The menu features an abundance of ingredients, spices, and herbs that promote digestion, boost metabolism, calm the body's heat, and expel excess fluids.

The appetizer plate includes Middle Eastern hummus with an oregano and tomato flavor, Mediterranean tapenade, and the main course includes Moroccan stew with summer vegetable chicken kebab and couscous, allowing you to enjoy cuisine from around the world. The bread is from "Dans Dix ans," and the vibrant organic herbs and edible flowers are from "GRAND ROYAL green" in Kamogawa, Chiba.

Please note that "HERB AND BEER" will only be available on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays until October 14th.

From July 24th, our summer menu will be available for lunch. Made with ingredients that cool down and calm the body's temperature, this lineup of side dishes will help you beat the heat and build strength. The lunch set includes a variety of dishes, including "Grilled and Marinated Summer Vegetables," featuring zucchini, bell peppers, tomatoes, and okra; "Vietnamese Stir-fried Water Spinach and Shrimp," featuring water spinach, rich in immune-boosting beta-carotene; and "Yunnan Tofu," seasoned with chili bean paste and sansho pepper for a mouth-watering spiciness. Choose three side dishes from approximately 10 menu items and enjoy them with mixed grain rice, soup of the day, and pickles.

With the addition of terrace seating this spring, Kashika offers a comfortable space for the coming season. This summer, why not recharge your energy with international cuisine seasoned with spices and herbs?
