From Ginza to the World...A Place to Re-edit Magazine Culture
The theme of this event is "From Ginza to the World." Magazine House, which has been stimulating people's intellectual curiosity for 80 years since its founding in Ginza, will present new possibilities for magazine culture. In harmony with the venue, Ginza Sony Park's philosophy of "a park in the city," the space has been designed to allow visitors to move freely, touch, and feel. More than a simple retrospective, this exhibition is designed to be an exhibition that allows visitors to experience the power of "editing," connecting the past to the future.

The "Cover Exhibition" traces the history of magazines and features an art collaboration with Takashi Murakami
The exhibition's promenade will feature covers of Magazine House's most iconic magazines, including "Heibon," "POPEYE," "anan," "BRUTUS," and "Casa BRUTUS," displayed in chronological order. This archive exhibition allows visitors to visually relive the evolution of culture and lifestyles from the post-war period to the present day. This is a must-see for magazine fans, as it will once again bring home to you how magazines are a "mirror of the times."

Special Exhibition "Takashi Murakami and Murakami House"
There will also be a special exhibition featuring Casa BRUTUS and world-renowned artist Takashi Murakami. "Murakami House," a collaboration with architectural startup VUILD, will propose a new type of living space that combines art and digital fabrication. Additionally, Murakami will introduce "Magahouse-kun," a character inspired by the Magazine House logo. As a new symbol of the event, he will brighten up the entire venue.

Interactive content created by the editorial department will also be available
A variety of interactive content created by the magazine editorial department, unique to Magazine House, will also be available. "POPEYE POP-UP SHOP" will sell original goods and reproduction items from the legendary magazine "Olive." "BRUTUS COFFEE KIOSK" will offer special blends in collaboration with popular cafes, and there will also be a photo booth recreating the "panda special feature" from "anan." Furthermore, "Moshi Moshi, BRUTUS," utilizing AI technology, is linked to Google's "Gemini" to offer a digital experience that feels like a conversation with the magazine's editor-in-chief. This is an attempt to reconstruct magazines as a culture that is not just "read" but "experienced."

Talk & Live Program with Special Guests
Popular events and talk events with celebrities will be held daily on the special stage on the 4th floor. "Tarzan DAY with LES MILLS" will feature a collaborative session with a global fitness program. A diverse lineup of programs will expand the worldview of the magazine, including "Mariko Salon," where author Mariko Hayashi will talk with Yasushi Akimoto and Nemiko Shinsan, and "City Boy Variety Show," produced by POPEYE. There are also plans for talks that transcend genres, such as "Welcome to the 'Power Spot'!" by Hiroyuki Ehara. This is truly a stage where you can experience the multifaceted nature and cultural reach of the magazine medium.

The "Magazine House x Tokyo Metro Stamp Rally" is an urban event that takes place around Tokyo.
During the event, a stamp rally will be held, visiting four stations: Ginza, Asakusa, Shibuya, and Kita-Senju. Collect stamps with the magazine logos placed at each station and receive an original sticker at the finish line, Ginza Sony Park (first 3,000 people). This is a new urban experience-based project that allows the entire city to enjoy magazine culture.

In the 80 years since its founding, Magazine House has been disseminating "new standards" for each era. This exhibition looks back on its journey to date, while also attempting to question the future of editing, transcending the boundaries between paper and digital. "From Ginza to the world"—its message—is sure to remind us once again of the "power to connect people and the world" that lies at the heart of magazine culture.
