kakigori Cafe & Chocolat (1,600 yen) *Roppongi only
A "shaved ice" menu, offering a refreshing taste of Japan, is now available at each store. Tokyo Kobo has introduced "kakigori Matcha & Chocolat" (1,700 yen), which combines chocolate with matcha. Underneath the top layer of matcha granita are layers of sorbet chocolate, lemon marmalade, sugar-glazed cocoa nibs, and matcha cream. In addition to the rich flavor of matcha, this item boasts a cool, creamy texture, the crunchy texture of the cocoa nibs, and the refreshing tartness of lemon. The Roppongi-exclusive "kakigori Cafe & Chocolat" (1,600 yen) is a perfect match with chocolate, as roasting is as essential as chocolate. Underneath the top layer of cafe granita are layers of sorbet chocolate, orange marmalade, sugar-glazed cocoa nibs, and cafe cream. The bitterness of the coffee, the refreshing sweetness of the chocolate, the crunchy texture of the cacao nibs, and the sweet and sour marmalade combine to create a unique shaved ice treat.
