Ekiben Festival to be held at Tokyo Station Gransta! "Campaign Ekiben" to celebrate Ekiben Day

To coincide with Ekiben Memorial Day (July 16th), the day when Japan's first ekiben is said to have been released, the New Ekiben Festival will be held, selling "Business Trip Support Ekiben" (ekiben) for business travelers. From July 1st to July 31st, the event will be held at GRANSTA, a shopping spot inside the ticket gates on the first basement floor of Tokyo Station, and GRANSTA MARUNOUCHI, located outside the ticket gates in the Marunouchi underground area of Tokyo Station.
"Edokko Bento" (980 yen including tax)
As the name suggests, this event targets business travelers. It will offer ekiben for both those departing on a business trip from Tokyo Station and those returning home.
During the period, Tokyo Station-exclusive bento boxes, alcohol, and snacks will be available to suit various occasions, as well as a wide variety of products to support business trips, such as recommended souvenirs and convenient travel items.
"Colorful Flower Gozen" (1,296 yen including tax)
For those heading off on a business trip, there is the "Business Trip Ganbare Bento". Based on the concept of being hearty yet convenient, the menu includes the "Extra Large Fried Chicken Mapo Tofu Bowl" (880 yen including tax), the "Kinokuniya Katsu Sandwich" (3 slices for 430 yen including tax / 6 slices for 840 yen including tax), the "Fried Chicken Gapao Bento" (900 yen including tax), which is only available at Tokyo Station, and the colorful "Irodori Hana Gozen" (1,296 yen including tax) and the "Edokko Bento" (980 yen including tax), which are both only available at Tokyo Station.

Meanwhile, for those returning home from a business trip, the "Business Trip Otsukaresa Bento" has been introduced. The lineup includes the "Grazie! Deli & Beer Set" (1,680 yen including tax), which combines one type of Italian craft beer with one type of pasta and one type of salami, as well as the "Yamato Mahoroba Summer Bento" (1,280 yen including tax), which is only available at Tokyo Station, the "Special Snack Bento Festival" (1,300 yen including tax), the "Nikudanju" (Meatball Rice Bowl) (2,000 yen including tax), and the "Beef Tongue 5 Pieces x 10 Slices Bento" (2,538 yen including tax).
"Unagi-ju (large)" (2,700 yen including tax)
In addition, to coincide with Doyo no Ushi no Hi on July 20th, there will be a lineup of eel bento boxes made with care by popular and long-established restaurants, such as the "Unagi-ju (large)" (2,700 yen including tax) and the Tokyo Station-exclusive "Unagi Chirashi" (1,600 yen including tax). Among the bento boxes will be unique items such as the "Yamato Mahoroba Unagyu Bento" (2,380 yen including tax), which combines the words "ox" and "beef" to allow you to enjoy both eel and beef, and the "Eel and Gyutan Yaki Bento" (1,404 yen including tax).
