The Lounge by Aman, located on the 33rd floor of Aman Tokyo in Otemachi, Tokyo, will be revamping its popular Black Afternoon Tea on June 1st. Inspired by the "journey" to Aman hotels overseas, located in remote locations and beautiful hideaways, the restaurant will offer a new style of afternoon tea, including serving sweets packed in a themed "trunk."

The Black Afternoon Tea, created with a black concept to match the dark interior of the restaurant, has been well-received as a sophisticated afternoon tea with attention to detail. The newly renovated cafe maintains the "black" concept, but now offers a trunk-themed experience with trunk-themed chocolates and the ability to choose your favorite baked goods from among the sweets packed inside.
The top of Aman Tokyo's original black bamboo stand is decorated with a chocolate trunk, full of playful details such as nails, belts, and Aman luggage tags. The trunk, which combines milk chocolate, biscuits, and banana bread, is filled with fresh mixed berries and fruit pâtés, making it both adorable to look at and delicately flavorful to savor.

The special trunk brought to your table is filled with colorful sweets made with seasonal fruit. The baked goods, which match the flavor of each fruit, come in six carefully selected varieties, including cherry and pistachio petit choux, Okinawan peach pineapple and meringue tart, apricot and maple muffin, fig financier, banana and orange madeleine, and kiwi fruit tartlet. You can enjoy a customized afternoon tea by selecting your four favorite sweets on the second tier of the tray. The third tier features premium ingredients such as smoked foie gras and lobster, as well as savory dishes made with summer vegetables such as corn, tomato, and edamame.

The drink selection has also been expanded with the addition of eight varieties of "Tea Star," an exclusive tea selection made with the finest tea leaves from German tea brand Ronnefeldt.
With views unique to Tokyo, including Shinjuku Subcenter and Gaien Forest, spreading out outside the 33rd floor windows, and an open, chic interior space, why not enjoy a premium afternoon while savoring the feeling of traveling?
