Hotel New Otani Makuhari will be hosting the "SATSUKI Delicious Buffet - Uji Matcha" premium buffet, where you can enjoy sweets made with Kyoto's famous Uji matcha, every Saturday and Sunday from May 12th to July 1st.

The buffet is themed around Uji matcha, a luxury Kyoto tea that is at the peak of its new harvest season. New sweets made with generous amounts of Uji matcha will be introduced one after another, including roll cakes, Mont Blanc, tiramisu, and brulee. Matcha, known for its deep flavor and slightly bitter taste, is further enhanced by combining it with sweets.

The highlight is undoubtedly the "New Edo Dainagon Shortcake" from "edo SWEETS", a modern take on traditional Japanese sweets and ingredients created by Hotel New Otani's Grand Chef Nakajima Shinsuke. Also appearing in the "Super Series", which has been getting a lot of attention in the media, are the "Super Melon Shortcake" and "Super Chocolate Shortcake", both of which are made using carefully selected ingredients. At the shop in Patisserie Satsuki, cakes that cost over 1,500 yen per slice are lined up in easy-to-eat buffet sizes, so you can enjoy as much as you like. The buffet also offers a live chef-cooked menu including the hotel's traditional roast beef, slowly cooked at a low temperature until juicy, as well as teppanyaki, nigiri sushi, and tempura (dinner only), along with a total of 25 popular Japanese, Western, and Chinese dishes.
Enjoy the delicate and profound world of matcha.
