Pierre Hermé Paris releases refreshing limited-edition summer sweets

Jul 2, 2014

PIERRE HERME PARIS is introducing a limited-edition summer series of macarons and ice cream perfect for summer ahead of schedule. In addition to "Miss Gura Gura" (700 yen each) and "Glace et Sorbet" (starting from 600 yen), which have been on sale since June, the "Macaron Velouté Series" (280 yen each) will be released on July 1st. With some exceptions, all are scheduled to be on sale until the end of August. Miss Gura Gura is an original dessert from Pierre Herme Paris, with ice cream sandwiched between macaron dough and sable. There are six varieties, including "Miss Gura Gura Constellations," which combines strawberry and orange sorbet with cardamom-flavored ice cream sandwiched between sable, and "Miss Gura Gura Monte Bello," which combines strawberry sorbet with pistachio ice cream sandwiched between macarons. Among them, "Miss Gura Gura Envy," a combination of blackcurrant sorbet and violet-flavored vanilla ice cream sandwiched between macarons, is a Mitsukoshi Isetan exclusive.

Glace et Sorbet is a cup-type ice cream and sorbet. A wide variety is available, including "Glace Milena," which combines mint-flavored ice cream with fruit rouge sorbet, and "Glace Satine," which mixes cream cheese ice cream with passion fruit sorbet and orange marmalade and is garnished with a sable. A new flavor, "Glace Infiniment Rose," has also been introduced.

The "Macaron Velouté Series," with its slightly tart yogurt texture, is perfect for summer, and includes "Macaron Velouté Pamplemousse," which has a grapefruit flavor, and "Macaron Velouté Banane," a macaron shell topped with banana pieces and filled with yogurt cream. The products are available at Pierre Hermé Paris Aoyama and other stores, and some items can also be purchased from the official online shop.
