Oct 19, 2021

Isetan Shinjuku will host Japan's largest champagne event, "Noël à la Mode," from October 27th to November 1st. Held annually, "Noël à la Mode" is one of the largest events in Japan, showcasing a wide variety of unique champagnes, from grand maisons to small producers. This year, we will offer approximately 1,000 types of champagne from approximately 110 producers.

The venue will also feature various experience spaces, including a takeout menu that allows you to enjoy champagne pairings and a paid attendant service where a renowned sommelier will accompany you while you shop. In addition, the Isetan Mitsukoshi online store will introduce a variety of popular champagne sets and online-only items.

The long-awaited release of the great vintage of 2015

<Deutz>Hommage à Cuvée William Muirthe (2015/750ml/White Sparkling) 27,500 yen
This Blanc de Noirs is made exclusively from a single vineyard in Muirthe, the best plot adjacent to the Maison in the village of Aÿ. 2015 was a particularly outstanding vintage, and it will be released in separate climats. "Murthet" and "Côtes de Glacier" are single vineyards spread across a slope close to Deutz's headquarters in the village of AY. Fresh and pure on the palate. An elegant harmony with the complexity of a prestige cuvée. A clean attack gives off a hint of minerality. Rich and smooth flavors of stone fruits such as yellow peach, white peach, plum, apricot and nectarine. The subtle spice aroma of ginger and herbal notes are impressive. The finish is long and rich, and you can sense the wonderful aging of the grapes. This is a champagne that can withstand aging for 10 or 20 years to come, and will continue to offer special flavors with each passing year.

A special booth is now open where you can experience Ruinart's sustainable packaging, "Second Skin."

Ruinart's 100% recyclable sustainable gift packaging, "Second Skin," debuted in Japan this August. Developed after more than two years of research and development, Second Skin redefines the look of traditional gift boxes and is made from 100% recyclable natural wood fiber. It protects the bottle from light penetration, which can alter the quality of the champagne, and envelops it like a second skin.

This time, we have set up a sustainable booth featuring various Ruinart products, focusing on Second Skin. The booth, based on a sustainable concept, makes extensive use of recyclable natural materials such as wood, paper, and metal for its decoration. We will also be offering takeout hors d'oeuvres so you can enjoy this limited-time offer of Ruinart at home.
