Enjoy the cuisine of Peru, a gourmet powerhouse. An event where you can enjoy one of the world's top five cuisines in buffet style.

Oct 2, 2016

The Marble Lounge on the first floor of Hilton Tokyo will be hosting the "Peru Gourmet Fair: Land of Gourmet Food" from November 3rd to November 13th.

Peruvian cuisine has been attracting worldwide attention in recent years, thanks to its diverse food culture with diverse roots and the abundance of ingredients produced by its diverse climate and environment. For this fair, two guest chefs will be invited from Peru to serve a buffet of approximately 40 types of authentic Peruvian cuisine, known as one of the world's five great cuisines (from 4,100 yen), for lunch and approximately 50 types for dinner (from 5,000 yen). The menu features a wide variety of dishes, including "cebiche," a Peruvian classic made with seafood quickly marinated with plenty of lime, onion, salt, and chili. Other dishes include "papa a la huancaina," boiled potatoes with a chili-flavored cheese sauce; "solterito," a nutritious black quinoa and broad bean salad; and "lomo saltado," a beef and tomato stir-fry seasoned with soy sauce, a familiar flavor to Japanese people. Desserts include "purple corn sorbet." Drinks, available at an additional cost, include Peruvian wines, the popular "pisco sour" cocktail made with pisco brandy, and "chicha morada," a purple corn juice. Also, on November 10th, the Metropolitan Grill on the hotel's second floor will host a wine and dine event called "Peruvian Evening," a collaboration between a Peruvian chef and Hilton Tokyo Executive Chef Philippe-Louis Egaron. This course will feature South American wines, which have been gaining attention in recent years, paired with Peruvian cuisine. Enjoy Peruvian cuisine with two types of red and two types of white wine, including the Chilean premium wine "Clos Apalta." The price is 15,000 yen per person (tax and service charge included).
