Fruit tart specialty store Quil Fait Bon will be holding its first-ever "Autumn Harvest Festival" from October 1st to 31st, featuring a selection of tarts made with autumn ingredients.
During the festival, they will be offering a total of six tarts, including four new items made with autumn ingredients such as specially selected "Tamba chestnuts," in gratitude for the bountiful autumn harvest that farmers have painstakingly produced. Of the four new items, the "Specially Selected Tamba Chestnut and Almond Tart" (piece: 1,422 yen including tax, whole: 13,500 yen including tax) is a tart made with a generous amount of large, fragrant, and rich Tamba chestnuts. It is finished with a chestnut cream flavored with rum squeezed over slowly baked almond cream.
The "Kakichi Kinu Nishiki (Silk Sweet) Tart" (piece / 581 yen including tax, whole / 5,508 yen including tax) is a luxurious tart made with the sweet potato "Kakichi Kinu Nishiki," which is characterized by its sticky texture and rich sweetness. Other new products include the "Persimmon Tart" (piece / 629 yen including tax, whole / 5,940 yen including tax), which features fresh persimmon and rich custard cream with apricot liquor, and the "La France and Matcha Clafoutis - Lemon Flavor" (piece / 665 yen including tax, whole / 6,264 yen including tax), which uses matcha-flavored almond cream and La France pears. Also available as a Halloween-only tart is the "Hokkaido Miyoi Farm Chestnut Pumpkin Tart" (piece / 702 yen including tax, whole / 5,292 yen including tax), which uses chestnut-like sweet "chestnut pumpkin" and adds Dainagon adzuki beans as an accent. Also on sale will be the "Eikoga and 'Le Gard' Cream Cheese Tart" (piece / 594 yen including tax, whole / 5,076 yen including tax), which is made with Eikoga apples, a rare variety grown only in Tsugaru, Aomori Prefecture, seasoned with cinnamon and baked with Calvados-flavored cream cheese.
