The coffee event "COFFEE COLLECTION around KANDA NISHIKICHO 2016 AUTUMN" will be held on October 29th and 30th at Terrace Square in Kanda, Tokyo.
At the event, all participating stores will use the same brewing equipment and each store will serve one type of coffee (500 yen including tax). As all stores brew coffee under the same conditions, this coffee event allows attendees to experience the differences in flavor due to the characteristics of the beans, roasting methods, and brewing techniques of each store. In addition, a "5cups TICKET" tasting set that allows you to enjoy the flavors of five coffee stores, and a set that includes three bite-sized chocolates from Minimal, a bean-to-bar specialty store, will both be sold for a limited time only, priced at 1,000 yen including tax. Participating establishments include Single O Japan, Trunk Coffee, Paul Bassett, Elska + Heart Coffee, and Counterpart Coffee Gallery on October 29th, and Fuglen Tokyo, Verve Coffee Roasters Shinjuku Station, Bar Zingaro, Five Elephant by All Seasons Coffee, and Glitch Coffee & Roasters on October 30th. On October 29th, a hand-drip seminar will be held by Satoshi Kasuya, the 2016 winner of the World Brewers Cup, a competition that tests coffee brewing skills from bean selection to brewing technique. The Kanda Nishikicho area will also host a variety of content to help you enjoy coffee even more. One particularly noteworthy event is a photo exhibition held in collaboration with CafeSnap, a photo-sharing cafe app that showcases the charms of unique cafes. We are accepting submissions of works themed around "air" (air) and featuring cafes featured in the app. The application period is until October 10th, and the results will be announced on October 14th. Other events planned include a workshop where you can experience letterpress printing and receive an original letterpress coaster.
