The new flagship store of Parisian children's clothing brand BONPOINT opened in New York's SoHo district on May 6th.
The 180-square-meter store is based on the concept of a "warm home with children." Each room is decorated with a different theme, including a wooden mountain hut assembled by French artisans and vintage furniture and antiques selected by BONPOINT's creative director, Christine Innamorato, and her design team at a Paris flea market.
In addition to the "Baby & Newborn Room" decorated in powder pink and white, and the "Boy's Room" with metallic wardrobes, there is also a "Room for expecting mothers." This room will also host baby showers featuring an in-store gift list and custom-made pastries by Ladurée. This is part of Bonpoint's MINI CLUB program, which aims to provide a higher level of service. Future plans include personal shopping, drawing workshops for children, and horseback riding experiences in Central Park.
The store will also be introducing a limited-edition charity capsule collection. It features a wide variety of items using 12 different versions of Bonpoint's iconic Liberty print. Jewelry designer Aurélie Biderman has also joined the charity, releasing a limited-edition bracelet with a cherry charm, limited to 12 pieces. All proceeds from this collection will be donated to New Yorkers For Children, a charity organization that supports children's education and health.
Bonpoint's SS14 collection also features designs inspired by five themes, including fashion icon Twiggy, unique Japanese aesthetics, and 1950s retro-romantic style.
To commemorate the opening, photographer/illustrator Garance Dore created a video.
