Starting May 15, 2021, Conrad Tokyo will be offering a "Blissful Summer Sweets Buffet" at its all-day dining restaurant "Cerise," inspired by the refreshing summers of the Mediterranean coastline, with its expansive blue skies and oceans. The buffet will feature sweets made with citrus fruits and herbs commonly enjoyed along the Mediterranean coast, as well as classic sweets from Italy and Spain, as well as Mediterranean savory dishes. This buffet is recommended not only for its appealing cuisine, but also for those who want to experience Mediterranean cuisine, which is gaining attention as a way to lead a healthy lifestyle. A total of 12 sweet treats, including mousses and jellies made with typical Mediterranean citrus fruits such as lemon, bergamot, and blood orange, baked goods made with apricots and oranges, and Italian desserts well-known in Japan such as tiramisu and panna cotta, are all carefully prepared, even though they are served buffet-style. Savory dishes include an open sandwich with salted lemon rillettes and feta cheese, two cold dishes of taramosalata and fennel tart, three hot dishes such as moussaka and souvlaki, and popular scones.
