Five Points of Ashiya Pudding
1. No additives
We use no additives, not even flavorings. We believe that when it comes to food, before it is delicious, it must be safe to eat. Ashiya Pudding is made from four simple ingredients.
Okami's non-homogenized, pasteurized milk, eggs from non-GMO hens, additive-free fresh cream, and organic raw sugar. It's precisely because it's so simple that it wouldn't be delicious without truly delicious ingredients. We're not against additives. However, many sacrifices must have been made behind the scenes. At Ashiya Pudding and Asse, we take the time and effort to carefully craft each pudding by hand.

2. Beliefs that remain unwavering in the times and environment In a rapidly changing world, purchasing products online has become commonplace. However, the "goods" traded there remain unchanged through the ages. We use our "outstanding technical skills and the best secret ingredients" to transform the fruits of the producers' hard work and dedication into a product, and we serve our customers wholeheartedly. We believe that there are always "things that must change" and "beliefs that must never change."

3. Authentic ingredients, without pretenseAll ingredients used must be genuine, additive-free foods. Naturally, the natural flavors of the ingredients are crucial to creating a delicious pudding that brings out the flavors of the ingredients. Milk, cream, and eggs are gifts from living creatures. In today's world, where quantity takes priority over quality, these "obvious things" may be the most difficult to achieve. At Ashiya Pudding Toasse, we visit production sites as much as possible, speaking directly with the people involved and seeing things for ourselves.

4. Superior skills and an honest heart. Creating a moving experienceIt's not enough to simply gather quality ingredients. The condition of ingredients, which are created through the nurturing of life, changes with the seasons, and even every day. Making the same recipe over and over again will not create a pudding that conveys such heartfelt emotion. We've all experienced it, but "mother's home cooking is delicious"—the heartfelt "taste of mom's cooking." So how is it that we can create delicious food without being professionals, using easily available ingredients, or using professional tools? It's because we have the ultimate secret ingredient: thinking "for my precious family" and "for my loved ones." We never forget the feeling of "for my precious family" and "for my loved ones," and we cherish each and every pudding and imagine the smiles of those who eat it. We believe that this is the "ultimate secret ingredient."

5. Value and promise recognized by the people of Ashiya
We make absolutely no compromises, from the ingredients to the manufacturing process and packaging. This is why we believe we can inspire and bring happiness to those who eat it. The surprising deliciousness inspires, and eventually fills them with smiles. This is the mission of Ashiya Pudding. The reason so many people who have tried Ashiya Pudding become repeat customers is because of the "great emotion and overflowing smiles." Ashiya Pudding is "Ashiya quality," trained, nurtured, and recognized by Ashiya people who know all about quality.

Puddings are sold at any Western-style pastry shop. The recipe is simple, so anyone can make them. However, precisely because they are so simple, they won't taste good unless the ingredients are truly delicious. At Ashiya Pudding, we visit production sites as much as possible, speak directly to the people there, and see things with our own eyes. That's why we are able to offer delicious puddings thanks to the honest producers who want to "make delicious food that people can eat with as little worry as possible." The surprising deliciousness will move you, and eventually fill you with smiles. This is the mission of Ashiya Pudding.

Introduction of GrandChef Fujioka ToshioSince opening his sweets shop in Sumiyoshi, Kobe at the age of 27, he has consistently maintained his commitment to making products that are not only delicious but also kind to the body. Terms such as additive-free, organic, and domestically produced are familiar to us these days, but more than 25 years ago, he began making sweets using additives-free ingredients, domestic wheat, and domestically produced raw sugar. After that, he taught himself how to cook and opened a restaurant, where he became fascinated with the appeal of vegetables and runs Sasarai, a restaurant serving seasonal Satoyama vegetables, using organic vegetables grown without pesticides or chemical fertilizers, and seasonings made using traditional methods without additives.

< ... Fujioka's Vision: To Create the Ultimate Pudding in the Truest Meaning - Today, Japan is overflowing with a wide variety of puddings. From those made with fruits and vegetables to those made with matcha, cheese, and chocolate, to those flavored with Western liquor, shochu, vanilla, and more... Amidst all this, Ashiya Pudding Toasse opened in Ashiya in September 2007 as a takeout-only pudding specialty store. While the mail-order boom at the time made pudding delivery commonplace, one of the concepts behind Ashiya Pudding's development was to create the ultimate pudding, a taste that could not be found anywhere else, just for customers who would make the effort to travel to Ashiya. The theme of Toasse's pudding was what kind of pudding "touches the soul and evokes deep emotion from the heart" when people eat it. In order to pursue this, they decided to reexamine the origins of pudding.

The origins of pudding date back to the 16th century. Over the course of nearly 500 years, it has evolved into the ultimate sweet treat that we know today, passed down through the generations. Its ingredients are incredibly simple: milk, eggs, and sugar. Because anyone can make it with just these ingredients, the answer lies there. Through repeated trial and error, we discovered the secret: "strip away the excess and refine it." We decided on just four ingredients for Ashiya Pudding: milk, cream, eggs, and sugar. It took two years of prototyping to find the ultimate ingredient to breathe life into a simple pudding and the golden ratio to evoke emotion. Ashiya Pudding was finally completed. Taking this opportunity to renovate our store, we are now bringing to you what we believe to be the ultimate pudding, a culmination of all our experience. We hope you'll enjoy it.

Future Developments
Ashiya Pudding will continue to adhere to the same commitment to ingredients and manufacturing methods that has remained unchanged since its founding, while also evolving with the times to adapt to the ever-changing circumstances. Taking this opportunity of the store renovation, we will also strengthen our focus on online sales, with the aim of selling 100,000 units per year.
