Sustainability Page Homepage*Aiming to realize "Isetan Mitsukoshi Group connecting people and the times," we are gradually implementing sustainable fashion initiatives, such as focusing on environmentally friendly materials, collecting unwanted clothing (for a limited time), and collaborating with local communities and producers on manufacturing.
In October 2020, we will open a dedicated page on the Isetan Mitsukoshi online site homepage to introduce customers to sustainable initiatives and products through shopping. We hope to work with customers to learn about social issues and the future through shopping, and to consider "familiar actions" that will lead to concrete contributions.
The information page that helps turn everyday shopping into sustainable action will be revamped on October 28th, making it easier to find the information you want to know by latest topic and category.

"My admired senior is living a sustainable life. But what exactly does 'sustainable' even mean...? I want to get a little closer to them, so I'm trying to do sustainable things and activities in my everyday life." KAKI-chan and Koume (the cat)'s weekend diary (#KinSass) features two people with on-site experience who are creating a web project about the sustainable initiatives being implemented at Isetan Mitsukoshi.
As the person in charge of sustainability for the Isetan Mitsukoshi online site, I visit stores daily and communicate closely with on-site staff to gather information in order to inform customers about the company's sustainable products and services. Drawing on my experience as a buyer and seller in-store, I plan and create the site with the same perspective I used when planning and creating in-store.

The "Kyoto Prefecture x Isetan Mitsukoshi Craftsmanship Project," launched in 2016, promotes traditional industries and techniques from Kyoto Prefecture to a wide audience both domestically and internationally through three stores in the Tokyo metropolitan area. Department store buyers act as a hub, leveraging their sales floor production capabilities to develop products tailored to market needs and market them through sales channels. This initiative connects customers with producers of Japan's most representative traditional craftsmanship.

The appeal of the products, which cannot be fully conveyed in the article alone, is shared through live commerce and archived videos. The denim bag, which was one of the popular items featured in the article, sold approximately 400 units in total through live and archived playbacks.
