Kobe-based patisserie Antenor (https://www.antenor.jp) will be selling a Kyoto-exclusive gift, "Kyoto Strong Tea," on the Antenor online shop (https://www.antenor.jp/shopping/) from October 1st. This Kyoto-exclusive product uses specially selected Uji matcha, "Kyoto's Nightingale," created by Antenor's Western-style pastry artisans and a tea master from Kyoto's long-established tea wholesaler, Kitagawa Hanbei Shoten.

'High-quality matcha has a rich aroma, and its sweetness stands out more than its astringency,' these words from a tea master have inspired us to create our own unique Uji matcha, Kyoto Nightingale, in order to create a Western-style confection that highlights its mellow aroma and mellow sweetness.

The 'uguisu' is a bird of good fortune, and its song is said to be a harbinger of good luck. "We want to deliver happiness to everyone." With that thought in mind, we have created a new Kyoto souvenir, "Kyoto no Okoicha-san," made using our original Uji matcha, named "Kyoto no Ouguisu."
It will be on sale at the Antenor Kyoto Isetan store from September, and due to popular demand, will begin accepting orders at the Antenor online shop (https://www.antenor.jp/shopping/) from October.
