S-cubism, a developer and solutions provider for e-commerce and retail, has announced "Orange Gift," a customer service app for Microsoft Windows RT/8. Both SaaS and on-premise versions will be available starting on the 5th.
Orange Gift is a management application designed to solve delivery reception issues, which occur during busy periods such as mid-year and year-end gift sales. By consolidating all tasks, from accounting to delivery management, on a tablet, paper entry is eliminated and concerns about lost delivery slips are eliminated. Another benefit of using a tablet is that delivery addresses can be entered even while customers are waiting in line. This solves the common problem of "taking time to fill out shipping slips, which keeps customers waiting," which often occurs during busy periods. Additionally, customer personal information is stored in the cloud, eliminating the worry of handling paper personal information. Key features include suggested street addresses based on postal code input, shipping address registration, gift wrapping and delivery date/time specifications, shipping label generation, advanced security management, Windows-specific handwritten input, and reverse address lookup from maps. A key feature is its simple, easy-to-use design, designed for ease of use for both store staff and customers. The software's development leveraged the company's accumulated e-commerce site technology accumulated through the development of its open-source e-commerce software, "EC-Orange," which has been adopted by over 300 companies. Orange Gift is part of S-Cubism's "Orange Tablet" tablet series. When combined with the "EC-Orange POS," a store management POS/e-commerce linked POS system, and the "Orange Handy" order entry system, Orange Gift can be used independently in conjunction with existing systems. The SaaS version costs ¥10,000 per store per month, while the on-premise version requires a separate quote. An iPad version is also planned for the future.
