Blue Bottle Coffee's first-ever concept shop in Japan will open at TENOHA Daikanyama on May 1st for a limited six-month period.

The "Blue Bottle Coffee Daikanyama Concept Shop," which will be open for a limited six-month period, will be a store where customers can experience new products and limited-edition menu items early.
The cafe's spatial design was handled by Jo Nagasaka of Schemata Architects. A coffee bar counter has been installed inside a shipping container, creating a unique space unique to a concept shop.
The first of the new products to be released at the "Blue Bottle Coffee Daikanyama Concept Shop" from opening day, ahead of the 13 other stores nationwide, is the caffeine-free coffee "Night Light Decaf."
This product project was born from Blue Bottle Coffee's desire to offer delicious, caffeine-free coffee (decaf) that can be enjoyed at any time of the day, morning or night.
"Nite Lite Decaf" (550 yen) will be available first at the Daikanyama Concept Shop,
"Nite Lite Decaf" (550 yen) will be available first at the Daikanyama Concept Shop,
and the gluten- and dairy-free "Almond Soy Cake" (400 yen) will be available in all stores from April 25th.
"Nite Lite Decaf," made from two components, one from Sumatra and one from Honduras, is decaffeinated using the Swiss Water Method, a chemical-free method. The flavor profile is crème brûlée, vanilla, and key lime. It will be available at the Bottle Coffee Daikanyama Concept Shop from the opening day, and will be rolled out to all stores from May 9th.
Even though it is decaf, this coffee has a creamy taste and is a must-try for anyone who has never tried decaffeinated coffee before.
Also, Blue Bottle Coffee's new gluten-free menu item, Almond Soy Cake, will be available from April 25th.
 "Almond Soy Cake"
"Almond Soy Cake"
Following the first gluten-free cake launched last fall, this second cake is also made using domestically produced soy flour and rice flour, and does not contain gluten, a type of protein found in grains such as wheat and barley that is known to be difficult to digest.
This dessert is also recommended for health-conscious people and those avoiding gluten for health and beauty reasons. It is also dairy-free, as it uses fermented soy milk (soy milk yogurt) instead of dairy products. The dough contains almond powder and is baked with lemon zest, and is topped with almond slices and sugar. This cake has a moist texture that's hard to believe is gluten-free, and you can enjoy the fragrant aroma of almonds and soybeans. Be sure to enjoy it with our new decaf coffee.
