Hotel New Otani will be hosting the "Sandwich & Sweets Buffet: Matcha, Melon, and Chocolate" from May 7th to June 30th in its Garden Lounge, which overlooks the expansive Japanese garden.

The "Sandwich & Sweets Buffet," which began in January this year and featured the king of strawberries, "Hakata Amaou®," has been met with great acclaim. The next theme has been chosen as "Matcha, Melon, and Chocolate." Using carefully selected matcha from Uji, Kyoto, adzuki beans from Hokkaido, and brown sugar syrup sourced from Okinawa, guests can enjoy a wide variety of sandwiches alongside matcha sweets that transcend the boundaries of Japanese and Western, as well as melon and chocolate-filled delicacies.

One of the most notable items is the introduction of the popular "Super Series" luxury sweets made with carefully selected ingredients. "Super Series" sweets, which normally cost over 1,500 yen per piece, will be served buffet-sized. You can enjoy luxurious flavors to your heart's content, such as the "Super Melon Shortcake," which brings out the aroma and sweetness of the finest muskmelon, synonymous with the "Super Series," and the "Super Chocolate Shortcake," which combines authentic chocolate cream and chocolate sponge.

Also available are "New Edo Sweets," created using carefully selected Japanese ingredients and plenty of artisanal skill. The lineup includes "New Edo Dainagon Shortcake," made with matcha from Uji, Kyoto, shiratama (rice flour dumplings), and homemade brown sugar syrup, as well as "New Edo Matcha Roll," and a new product, "Kuzumochi Jelly," created in collaboration with Funabashi-ya, the original fermented Japanese sweet kuzumochi.

Also, don't miss the 15 types of sandwiches that are served alongside the carefully selected sweets. In addition to standard menu items such as the "Roast Beef & Lettuce Sandwich" made with the hotel's traditional roast beef, the "Classic Pork Cutlet Sandwich," and the weekend-only "Steak Sandwich," there are also unique sandwiches such as the "Ham and Cheese Black Bagel with Cumin Flavor." Served in bite-sized pieces, it's fun to try the different types and find your favorite.
Why not enjoy rich sweets and sandwiches while gazing at the beautiful Japanese garden?
