Boulangerie Festa, featuring around 200 types of bread from popular bakeries, will be held at Yokohama Takashimaya

Boulangerie Festa, featuring approximately 200 types of bread from 24 popular bakeries, including those from Kanagawa Prefecture, will be held for the first time from January 30th to February 4th at the event venue on the 8th floor of Yokohama Takashimaya.

Boulangerie Festa brings together the best breads from popular bakeries in Hokkaido, Yamagata Prefecture, Tochigi Prefecture, Kanagawa Prefecture, Tokyo, Shizuoka Prefecture, Kyoto Prefecture, Osaka Prefecture, and Fukuoka Prefecture. The 24 bakeries' best-selling breads include breads from popular bakeries in Kanagawa Prefecture, breads available only on certain days, bread made with carefully selected ingredients and methods, freshly baked bread made in the venue's kitchen, and freshly fried curry bread.

"Ore no Bakery & Cafe" in Ginza will be selling a limited quantity of 200 loaves of its most popular bread, "Ginza Shokupan - Kaori" (1 loaf for 1,001 yen including tax), each day. Made using special milk from Nakahora Farm in Iwate Prefecture, the bread has a chewy texture and a sweet milky taste. "Piney" in Fujisawa will be selling bread with a refreshing texture, made with orange peel kneaded into the Danish pastry dough.

Maeda Coffee

Maeda Coffee, which opened its first store in Yokohama Takashimaya 40 years ago, is a popular coffee shop in Kyoto. You can enjoy freshly made items such as the popular Special Blend Ryunosuke coffee (451 yen per cup, tax included), hot dogs (594 yen per cup, tax included), and grilled and boiled egg sandwiches (756 yen per portion, tax included). Bredor in Hayama sells vibrantly colored curry bread topped with Kamakura vegetables purchased at the market every morning. "Ianak" in Nishi-Nippori, which will be open for only two days on January 30th and 31st, will sell bread in which the crunchy texture of lotus root matches the dough containing beans and turmeric (260 yen per piece, tax included), and bread kneaded with custard and rolled in chocolate (273 yen per piece, tax included). "Iacoppe" in Ueno, which will also be open for only two days, will sell bread made with black cocoa bread filled with plenty of pistachio cream and topped with pistachios (302 yen per piece, tax included), and bread with an exquisite combination of the sweetness of moist and smooth koshian bean paste and salty whipped butter (253 yen per piece, tax included).

Others include "Nord Essen" in Hokkaido, "Beuchon de Blé" in Yamagata Prefecture, "Bakery Penny Lane" in Tochigi Prefecture, "Bäckerei Thon Garten", "Bakery Chaleur", "Takaku Bakery (Champagne ☆ Bakery)", and "Lumiere de Baie" in Kanagawa Prefecture, "Sora to Mugi to", "Imano Fruits Factory", "Chez Lui", "Ketakata Hito Sugoi wa", "Hilton Tokyo", and "Linde German Bread Shop" in Tokyo, "Pan no Sato" in Shizuoka Prefecture, "Ande" and "Boulangerie" in Kyoto Prefecture. A total of 24 stores are planned, including "OPERA," "LeBRESSO" in Osaka Prefecture, and "Mikazukiya" in Fukuoka Prefecture.

In addition, "Lumiere de Baie" will be selling for three days from January 30th to February 1st, "Sora to Mugi to" and "Imano Fruit Factory" for four days from January 30th to February 2nd, "Chez Lui" for two days on February 1st and 2nd, "Kanatahito Sugoi wa" from 11am on both February 3rd and 4th, "Hilton Tokyo" from 11am on both February 3rd and 4th, "Bakery Penny Lane" from 11am on January 31st only, "LeBRESSO" from 11am on both January 30th and February 2nd, and "Mikazukiya" for four days from February 1st to 4th.
