MICHALAK OMOTESANDO, a patisserie run by Christophe Michalak, a young star pastry chef active in Paris, will open in Omotesando in October 2018.

Christophe Michalak, trained under Pierre Hermé, boasts a stellar career, having been appointed chef pastry chef at the five-star Plaza Athénée in Paris at the young age of 27. During his time there, he captained the French national team to victory in the Coupe du Monde de la Pâtisserie (world championship).
Michalak, known for his unique sweets that combine traditional French pastry techniques with playful presentations, opened his own store in Paris in 2013, "Michalak Masterclass/Michalak Takeaway," which also houses a classroom, and later expanded Michalak Paris to the Marais and Saint-Germain districts. He currently operates four stores in Paris. He has also published numerous books of his own recipes, which have sold over 100,000 copies, making him a charismatic and popular star pastry chef of the new generation.
 MISS K
MISS K
The concept of MISS K's first overseas store in Omotesando is "Rock & Luxury." The store will offer a wide variety of delicate and artistic sweets that are popular in Paris.
A "popular vote" for sweets is currently being held on the official Japanese website (http://michalak.jp/). A wide selection of signature menu items that are hugely popular in Paris will be available, including "Cosmic," an original healthy dessert made with layers of nuts, fresh fruit, and cream; "MISS K," a large two-tiered choux pastry filled with cream; "Counies," a cross between cookies and brownies; and "Unique," a fresh baked confectionery based on regional French pastries. You can vote for your favorite sweets that you would like to see sold at Michalak Omotesando.
In addition, ahead of the opening, the first round of a gift campaign is being held on the official website until July 19th. You can win signed chef coats, signed master books, and more in the lottery.
