Founded in 1936, Maison Fred has opened its doors to the brand's first-ever retrospective. The exhibition, titled "FRED Joaillier créateur depuis 1936," will run from September 28 to October 24, 2022, at the Palais de Tokyo in Paris.
Revealing the secrets of more than 85 years of bold creativity, this retrospective invites visitors on a radiant journey of jewellery filled with light and joy of living, inspired by the life and spirit of founder Fred Samuel himself. To coincide with this historic retrospective, Maison Fred has launched a new jewelry collection inspired by the distinctive personality and aura of its founder, Fred Samuel.
Named ”Monsieur Fred Inner Light”, the collection pays homage to Fred Samuel, who, from the very beginning in 1936, called himself a "modern jeweler-creator." It offers a new interpretation of his creative legacy, highlighting his humanity and inner light, and looking to the future with the same joie de vivre. Reflecting Fred Samuel's avant-garde vision that redefined conventional ideas, the brand offers a wide range of items designed not only as decorative pieces for women, but also to open up the luxurious world of high jewelry to men.
Each piece in the High Jewelry collection is truly one-of-a-kind. The collection features jewelry born from unconventional imagination and passion, including Fred's main collections, Force 10, Pretty Woman, and Chance Infinie, as well as PAIN de SUCRE, a design paying tribute to founder Fred Samuel, who was fascinated by Japanese cultured pearls and known as a pearl specialist, and a piece paying homage to the 105.54-carat yellow diamond, "Soleil d'Or."
