Sweet and sour cherry sweets and a pastel-colored buffet! Grand Hyatt Tokyo's spring menu

Grand Hyatt Tokyo will be offering a gorgeous spring sweets menu starting April 1st, including vibrant floral sweets with a spring flower motif, cherry sweets featuring sweet and sour cherries, and a colorful green and pink afternoon tea.

"Infiorata" (10cm x 13cm, ¥5,000)

Fiorentina Pastry Boutique on the first floor is introducing a new floral gift set featuring a vibrant and colorful floral motif. "Infiorata" (10cm x 13cm, 5,000 yen), available by reservation only and made to order, is a special sweet with spring-colored meringues and dragées in the center and four types of pound cake, including strawberry and matcha, sprinkled with rose petals. It's as gorgeous as a flower box filled with colorful spring flowers, making it the perfect gift for someone special.

The pastry team's special order cake, "Fleurille" (15cm diameter, 30,000 yen), also available by reservation only and made to order, is a gorgeous cake inspired by a bouquet full of flowers. The top is covered with flower buds in gorgeous gradient colors made from candy, and the cake is surrounded by beautiful spring-colored green candy. The classic butter cake is finished with nougat, which adds a nice texture to the cake. "Infiorata" can be ordered five days in advance, while "Full Reel" can be ordered one week in advance. Both will be available from April 1st to May 31st.

"Mother's Day Flower Cake" (12cm diameter, ¥2,680)

From May 1st to 13th, we will also be offering the "Mother's Day Flower Cake" (12cm diameter, ¥2,680), perfect for Mother's Day. This special cake, with its plump, dome-shaped cake topped with tiny buttercream flowers, resembles a bouquet. This "beautiful dessert" is almost too pretty to eat, making it the perfect gift for any special occasion.

In addition, vibrant crimson seasonal cherries will be transformed into exquisite sweets, available from late May to mid-June. The wide variety of cakes available includes "Cherry Foret Noire" (700 yen), a cake with griotte cherries wrapped in chocolate mousse and a variety of flavors such as pistachio and praline cream; "Eclair Cerise" (27cm 1,800 yen), a popular long eclair luxuriously filled with fresh cherries and pistachio cream; "Mille-feuille Cerise" (3cm x 9cm 650 yen), a cherry compote in red wine sandwiched between puff pastry and fresh cream; "Chocolat Cerise" (2.5cm x 8cm 650 yen), a chocolate sponge cake covered in cherry jelly and chocolate and topped with griotte cherries; and "Confiture Cerise" (1,400 yen), a homemade jam made with seasonal American and griotte cherries.

The French Kitchen, located in the all-day dining area on the second floor, is offering a new afternoon tea buffet menu, "Floral Afternoon Tea," from April 16th to May 31st. Enjoy as many spring-inspired sweets and savory dishes as you like, featuring vibrant edible flowers and pastel colors.

After enjoying an assortment of scones and small sweets, the pastry team will offer a buffet of pastel-colored sweets, including "Lavender Panna Cotta Rose Jelly" and "Jasmine Jelly," as well as savory dishes, including a selection of canapés specially created by the cafe.

To accompany the sweets and savory dishes, teas specially selected for this afternoon tea will be available from ART OF TEA, a premium organic tea brand based in Los Angeles that specializes in using carefully selected, high-quality organic ingredients from around the world. Enjoy the marriage of sweets and tea with "Japanese Cherry," a green tea reminiscent of cherry blossoms; "Earl Grey Crème," an organic black tea scented with bergamot oil and French vanilla; and "Apricot Escape," a beautiful pink, fruity organic rooibos tea.
