Hoshino Resorts Karuizawa Hotel Bleston Court to host Valentine's Day "Saison de Chocolat 2018"

The Lounge at Hoshino Resorts Karuizawa Hotel Bleston Court will be hosting "Saison de Chocolat 2018," a Valentine's Day sweets event, from February 9th to 14th. This year, they will be offering a sweets course and chocolate chaud using bean-to-bar chocolate (hereinafter referred to as "bean to bar"), a method in which all manufacturing processes, from sourcing the cocoa beans to shaping the chocolate, are carried out in one workshop. Furthermore, during this period, the hotel will be themed around the Nordic lifestyle of "hygge," which means "cozy time and space," and the courtyard will be decorated with himmeli (traditional Nordic objects), allowing guests to experience the essence of enjoying winter in various places.

"Gift of Cacao" (4-item sweets course, ¥1,200 each)

The "Menu Dessert Valentine" (¥3,500) sweets course combines bean-to-bar and sweet treats. Enjoy four items: "Jewel of Cacao," crafted with different chocolate flavors; "Fountain of Cacao," a warm chocolate chaud with a refreshing, not-too-sweet, herbal aroma; "Crystal of Cacao," a chocolate sorbet flavored with cacao nibs; and "Gift of Cacao," presented in a photogenic cacao bean container. Enjoy the pairing of a menu dessert with coffee, just like the Swedish coffee break known as "FIKA."

Serving times are from 10:00 to 16:00. The "Gift of Cacao" can also be ordered as a single item for 1,200 yen.

Three Kinds of Chocolat Chau (1,400 yen)
The "Three Kinds of Chocolat Chau" (1,400 yen) lets you choose your favorite bean-to-bar hot drink, allowing you to sample the chocolate aroma and flavor from a refreshing and fruity flavor, a rich and sweet flavor like nuts, or a juicy flavor like blackcurrant. Serving hours are from 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Each region produces different aromas and flavors, so enjoy the transformations that bean-to-bar creates.

"Bonbon Chocolat (6 pieces)" (1,800 yen)

The "Bonbon Chocolat (6 pieces)" (1,800 yen) are bite-sized chocolates that evoke the four seasons of Shinshu, making them a perfect gift. Three types of "Bonbon Chocolat" are also available, paired with specialty coffee. These are priced at 1,500 yen and are available from 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
