The charming logo of the Western confectionery shop "Français," featuring twin girls harvesting fruit, is depicted in vibrant colors. It's said to be the work of illustrator Heisuke Kitazawa. Anyone would be enchanted by receiving sweets in such romantic packaging... Français' sweets are all so charming you'll want to gaze upon them forever, and they have a dreamlike worldview.
Français, a Yokohama-based confectionery shop that primarily sells mille-feuille, a pie crust filled with fruit and nuts, considered the origin of sweets, has revamped its logo and packaging to mark its 60th anniversary. Even in the crowded confectionery section of a department store's basement, Français' sweets stand out without being lost. This unique presence may be the result of the shop's intention to create a "theme of an unprecedented painting, using materials never used before," which has been firmly established.
