Printemps Ginza will be selling the "Tokyo Sweets Collection Original Chocolate Assortment" (3,500 yen) at its Valentine's Day Fair, which runs from January 28th to February 3rd.
This Valentine's Day Fair features a collaboration between six of Japan's most popular pastry chefs. Participants in the "Tokyo Sweets Collection" event, held in November 2014, developed original chocolates for this occasion and have now packaged them together as an assortment.
The "Lesperse" bonbon chocolate, which captures the flavors of raspberry and fig, was created by Koichi Izumi, who placed third overall at the 2005 World Chocolate Masters. Yasuhiro Takagi, winner of the Grand Gold Award in the Chocolate, Confiserie & Sable category at the Monde Selection World Championships in Belgium, will be offering "Chocolat du Bois," which combines the texture of nuts with the tartness of fruit. Tanaka Jiro, who was selected to represent Japan at an international confectionery competition in the United States, has prepared "Praline Café," which has the delightful aroma of coffee and the texture of praline.

This set includes six chocolates: "First Kiss," a cute lip-shaped chocolate with a rose scent; "Passion," with the rich yet refreshing taste of organic chocolate; and "Breeze," which evokes the feeling of a gentle breeze with apricot, bergamot, and praline. Only 350 will be sold, and they will be available at the event venue on the 5th floor of the main building.
