Palace Hotel's Valentine's Day Colored Pencil Chocolate

From February 1st to 14th, 2015, the Palace Hotel Tokyo in Marunouchi, Tokyo, will be selling six Valentine's Day-exclusive sweets at its pastry shop, Sweets & Deli, on the basement floor.

"Crayon Colore" (5 pieces) is a unique chocolate shaped like a colored pencil. The handles are decorated with traditional Japanese patterns, such as Edo chiyogami and kimono patterns, and it comes in a box designed to resemble a pencil case. It is limited to 300 pieces and costs 2,800 yen.

"Spereur" (10 pieces), with its eye-catching crimson heart-shaped chocolate in the center, comes in six flavors, including passion fruit, cognac, and champagne. It is limited to 200 pieces and costs 3,800 yen.

"Coeur" (1 piece), a heart-shaped, Mendiant-style chocolate, is made with rich nut praline encased in French couverture. Limited to 250 pieces, 1,700 yen.

"Truffles" (9 pieces) come in an assortment of dark and white chocolates, and if you reserve at least three days in advance you can add a message of your choice. Limited to 300 pieces, 2,300 yen.

"Kimauve Chocolat" (4 varieties, 45g each) is a ginger chocolate wrapped in white chocolate and finished in four flavors: cocoa, caramel, sugar, and strawberry. Limited to 300 pieces each, 600 yen.

"Shirandol" (4 varieties, 50g each) is a pecan nut chocolate in four flavors: cocoa, caramel, matcha, and wasanbon. Limited to 100 pieces each, 1,000 yen.
