
Michael Kors received high praise in Google's annual search rankings and social media data analysis.
In the 2013 edition of Google's annual "Zeitgeist" (German for "Zeitgeist"), which reveals the year's most-searched terms, Michael Kors ranked second in the high fashion brand category, up two spots from fourth place in 2012. Furthermore, Michael Kors is one of only two fashion brands that appeared on last year's top search list to remain on the list again this year.
In addition, social media analytics company StarCount named Michael Kors the top fashion brand on social media in 2013. Michael Kors launched innovative advertising in partnership with Instagram, growing its official Instagram fan base to 1.6 million and its Facebook fan base to 10.62 million. The brand's social audience grew by nearly 7 million across all platforms.
Michael Kors is actively engaged in online business, including releasing collaborative items with goop, an e-commerce site run by actress Gwyneth Paltrow.
