Michael Kors to distribute special anti-hunger T-shirts in five cities. Implemented at Omotesando store on the 16th.

Oct 9, 2013

On World Food Day, designated by the United Nations on the 16th, Michael Kors will be distributing special T-shirts for free in five cities around the world: Tokyo, New York, Berlin, Rio de Janeiro, and Hong Kong.
This is part of the "WATCH HUNGER STOP" campaign, which began this spring and announced a long-term partnership with the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP). In Tokyo, the Omotesando store will distribute T-shirts featuring the "WATCH HUNGER STOP" logo.
A photo booth will be set up in each store in the five cities, and customers will be photographed wearing the distributed T-shirts, with their consent. The photos will be shared on social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter (#watchhungerstop). Additionally, photos taken in each store will be posted on a digital billboard in New York's Times Square, sharing the latest happenings around the world. Michael Kors also plans to collect donations to WFP in-store at its street-level stores around the world. As part of this campaign, Michael Kors released four unisex charity watches called the "100 Series" in March of this year (May in Japan). For each watch sold, 100 meals will be provided to children through the WFP, and one million meals have already been delivered through the sale of these products. The brand is also actively involved in charitable activities, including donating $5 million to God's Love We Deliver, a New York-based non-profit organization that provides individually tailored meals to people living with serious illnesses.
